Organizational Collaborators

The project’s partnership with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) results naturally from alignment of the project’s goals with AAUW’s mission to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy. AAUW is a leader with groundbreaking work on gender equity, economic security, and removal of barriers and biases for over a century, and has trained over 180,000 individuals in salary negotiation through Work Smart and Start Smart workshops. The Start Smart training is hosted by 80 colleges and universities, including 19 minority-serving institutions and Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Our project also partners with the NSF INCLUDES Coordination Hub (NSF Award No. 1818635) to disseminate tools and resources to its members. The Coordination Hub supports the NSF INCLUDES National Network through online community, webinars, and related events to strengthen a common vision among Network members while building connections across education, industry, government, and philanthropy groups. The Hub supports efforts to build a more inclusive, diverse faculty and recognizes that the proposed the LTM project, with its emphasis on faculty compensation, aligns directly with this goal.

To expand beyond the initial cohort of three private universities, the project is partnering with the NSF INCLUDES National Alliance for Inclusive and Diverse STEM Faculty (Aspire) (NSF Award Nos. 1834518, 1834522, 1834510, 1834513, 1834526, 1834521) to beta-test our methods with a larger cohort of predominantly public universities. We will engage Aspire’s Institutional Change (IChange) Network to disseminate and receive feedback on tools and workshops through a new offering, the Compensation Analysis Sprint for IChange Network Institutions. Housed at the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), the IChange Network engages institutions in a community of transformation committed to advancing Aspire's strategic goals.

The University of Washington Center for Evaluation & Research for STEM Equity (CERSE) is partnering with Annie Patrick (Independent Consultant) to conduct program evaluation of the project. CERSE provides formative and summative evaluation and works collaboratively with project personnel to ensure the project is on track and meeting its goals. CERSE supports critical reflection and qualitative and quantitative data collection to measure progress.
